Chicken Shawarma

This is a delicious chicken shawarma recipe that will be loved by the whole family! With this recipe, you can make chicken shawarmas anytime at home!

 

Ingredients

- 12 pieces of boneless chicken leg and thigh

- 1 cup of yogurt

- 1 tbsp. of chopped garlic

- 1/2 a lemon, juiced

- 2 teaspoons of salt

- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

- 1 1/2 teaspoons of chili powder

- 2 teaspoons of cumin powder

- 2 tbsp. of oil

- 1/4 cup of cilantro, chopped

 

Instructions

  1. Combine everything in a large bowl and allow it to marinate for an hour.

  2. If you have a rotisserie maker, use it to cook the chicken. If you don't, make a shawarma spit skewer. Take a large onion and peel it. Remove the ends, with one end being cut larger than the other.

  3. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit. Stick 3 skewers in the onion in a triangular fashion. Then take the chicken and place it it the spit skewer, until you are out of chicken.

  4. Place it in the oven for 1 1/2 hours. Serve it with rice or naan bread.
